There’s nothing worse than having your phone die when you need it the most. Battery power these days doesn’t seem to last long enough and that’s why we are always in constant search for the best portable chargers. I bought all the portable chargers in this list and used them during a three-week testing period. Here is a list of the top portable chargers that will help you go through your day without having to worry about your battery life.
Flux Portable Charger ($29.95)
First on our list is definitely the Flux Charger. With its sleek specs (4000 mah and ultra thin), this nifty gadget will give you almost 2 full charges for your phone. Ranked #1 by big tech review sites like Yahoo Tech, Digital Trends and topping the charts in PCAdvisor and MobileMag, this portable battery seems to be everyone’s favorite and with good reason. With a body of only 3 ounces and a size that can fit on anyone’s pockets, the Flux Charger is a winner when it comes to portability. Also, the charger comes with cables for Android and iPhone built-in into its architecture. I was able to fully charge my iPhone 6 in 50 minutes.
Flux also supports “pass-through” charging and features smart current regulation technology so it detects the type of phone you connected, delivering just the right amount of current to not damage your phone’s battery.
The finishing of the Flux Charger is elegant and super high quality. The portable charger comes with a reinforced aluminum back that is not only sleek but also highly resistant to drops. (Trust me on that one, I tend to drop stuff way too often). The Flux Charger is water-safe.
Outdoor Tech Kodiak Mini ($23)
This battery pack by Kodiak is interesting. The body is rugged and waterproof and comes with a not too shabby 2600 mah. Unlike the Flux Charger, it does not come with cables integrated but it does have a USB port that you can connect to. It delivers one 1.1A of voltage and charged my iPhone 6 in about 1.5 hours.
TYLT ENERGI 5K+ ($59.99)
The Tylt battery comes with built-in cables and provides 5,200mah of power, so it can power up your Apple device or Android gadget and still have some amount of battery remaining. The price is a bit too high for the amount of power that it provides however.
Round-up of best portable chargers
So there you have it. Those are the top 3 best portable battery packs of 2017. Hopefully now you won’t have to suffer from battery issues.
We know there are a lot of options when it comes to choosing the best portable phone charger. It ultimately comes down to what features matter to you the most. Power banks that hold more energy capacity will most likely be bulkier and less portable, while chargers with smaller batteries will be more compact and easier to carry around. Another important feature for portable phone chargers to have is built in cords. Many portable chargers on the market force you to bring your own usb cord everywhere you go, which in our opinion, is a deal breaker.
Did I miss a portable charger that you like? Let me know in the comments and I will make sure to include it on my next list of best battery packs!
